Our event had passed and we are now offical husband and wife.
It wouldn't be successful without the lovely helps of many.

The blessing recieved via sms.
That important call from Auckland

and so of, my hubby.

We limited our guests list invites to a few friends and mostly relatives.

At first i thought of sending out invites.

My inital idea was to get those test tube like and then add in colorful sands and then the simple invite inside the rest tube.
Like this idea a lot but in the end i didnt do that.
A simple idea how it looks like.

I sent a date saver via facebook to some of the friends and relatives:

I like the idea of using old cans tie at the boot and hong driving the car with the sound of the tins.

So now, dress, weihong top, my shoes, his pants, the posters, the venues, the “guest-lists”, digging out of old photos are all done.

I went to purchase 2 feather pens for the signing of ROM.
Ok I know it seems like wasting money for that purpose. But I really like the idea of having it as the “design” on the ROM table.
Bought it at Mini-toons for only $3.95 each!

Another important task is to find my shoe. You guys know I got big long feet which makes it difficult to find shoes.

I researched over the forum and realized people are recommending buying from department stores like VIVI.

Some bought around $30 plus, some around $20 plus and some pretty expensive.
I am on budget. Already spent quite a sum on miscellaneous stuffs and so I set the budget to be $40 bucks.

I caught a few nice ones but they are too far over budget. I can’t find those $30 plus range of shoes in any of the department stores. I wonder where those brides bought it from.

I went to see Anna with Janet and caught one that I really like but it is just way too high.
Sarah accompanied me to comb the whole orchard only to find the pair at Charles and Kieth. I quite like this pair but I wanted some blink stuffs on them. So now complementing if I should buy some and DIY it myself.

I find it a little high for me but well I still buy it and as Sarah said, I decided not to shop around looking at shoes for time being.

Table Flowers

Ok next is flowers!
Of course I will look for my dearest auntie who has a shop at www.treehouse.com.sg.

They will design my hand bouquet which I intend to throw to my ladies friends after the event! 2 years back I somehow get the bouquet (although not through official throwing means) from Yue and Carol, I wanted to throw this bouquet of mine to pass the blessings to the next one! =)

Actually I wanted Gerberas flowers like this! Like this so much! I like the color and the design of this flower.

But auntie n cousin said itis too simple. Cousin thought of lily as she thinks it suits me. And so in the end I decided to leave it to them!

Got pink, white flower petals from them too…to put on the table as well as a decoration on the ground.

I got a design in mind on how the flowers on the rom table will be like.
I wanted to place the wedding pigs Sarah got me , the ring pillows and flowers all in the fence like box.

Asked cousin to help me look for it. Still pending it is feasible.

In the end, i will find ways to place my rings.

Self Made Stuffs

Next is my little self made wedding “poster” to be place on the wall and 2 heart “poster” to be place behind the chair.

Brainstorm lots of ideas but different to start doing. Got to buy the materials and draw out some rough layout before I start doing.

Here is goes:

I had another idea and that is to design an album and placed pictures of Hong and me from now till now. After spending 2 hours doing it while the man is gaming, I got the final product done!
Happy with it =)

Going to include pictures of us from young till we par tor and then add in rom pictures.
Then this album can placed on the table for our customary event.

Decoration stuffs

I went round Bugis to take a look at their party stuffs.
Have some ideas of how I wanted it to be.

Went back again with Rong and Carol to have a look again.
Have to discuss with Hong before I made my purchases.
I wanted to buy “Party-Poppers” so that my guest can pop them when we are announced husband and wife…

And I caught nice wine bottle party poppers and decided that Hong and I can also pop them after the announcement.

In the end we ordered Helium balloons there for $1 each.
and the rest of the decorations stuffs there.

They sell Helium gas tank too but quite ex.

Hong's Top

Next will be Hong’s top.
I like a particular design and managed to see it at Raoul but it costs like $200 bucks.
Gosh, with the help of Jul, we managed to take some snap shots of the top.
Then I look around for the design of collar and I like this particular collar called the wing collar.

Lyn was advising me not to tailor made for his shirt as he will be only wearing once.
I got a design in mind and I was thinking he can wear it for other occasions as well.
Bud-ZY intro me a tailor which his friend always went and before we check it out.

Together with Hong, we went to check out the tailor and they can design to the color and the design I wanted. Hong got no objections and so we design to tailor made for $80 bucks. The price to me is pretty reasonable as getting a guy’s shirt outside I think may cost more or just slightly less.
But well, I’m worried of how the outcome of the shirt will be like…hmm..

This is the outcome of the top.

And I bought him a dark pants at Zara when I’m in HongKong.

Rings

Hong was away in Korat again.
I seriously dislike this country.
Anway…
I got 3 weeks to do some research and then flood him with information when he returns.

Wedding bands is also another item that is not easy to find.
I went to Love & Co. Caught 2 designs from there.
The other outlets I went were Lee Haw, Soo Kee, Gold heart, Fairy Inc.
Jul introduced me Fairy Inc. This outlet customize-made rings and has received good reviews.

Together with Ivy, Val and Jul, we went to take a look at their range of products.
The shop owners are very nice, pretty ladies.
It depends a lot of the couple creatively to create something unique to them.
Some even craft out their love story to be crave on the ring.

Went Goldheart and saw 2 rings below which can match my solitaire.

When Hong is back, we went to love & Co again and i aimed something there but not for Hong. And so we decided to go Gold Heart again to take a look at other designs.
In the end, Hong and I chosen another design from gold heart.(as below)

Recommended: Love & Co, Fairy Inc for something unique.
